Job Summary

Lead a portion of a program effort to translate the client's business requirements into specific data systems, applications or process designs and deliver innovative business consulting, business process design, systems integration, and support application design. Exercises latitude to translate the needs of the business into system capabilities in the form of system requirement specifications. Understand and support the data architecture with the ability and expertise to develop overall solution to support the architectural direction. Perform research and development activities to support future IT business strategies. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience. 7+ years related experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle and SAP financial modules, billing, A/R and collections

  • Experience with traditional data warehouse data structures

  • Ability to evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions to meet user needs

  • Prepare flow charts, business process management (BPM) workflow, and systems diagrams to assist in problem analysis

  • Knowledge of IT operations, such as operating systems components, utilities, production schedulers and system environment hardware components

  • Experience with source to target mappings

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business user-friendly language

  • Experience with SQL and basic Data modelling

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly

  • Knowledge of computer coding/programming languages and software development concepts

  • Data integration problem-solving skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for issues of basic to moderate complexity

Nice to have

  • Specific domain knowledge in Billing

  • Basic knowledge of vendor software integration and interaction patterns

  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as Pentaho and Informatica

  • Data problem-solving skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for issues of basic to moderate complexity

  • Familiarity with Hadoop architectures

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignments simultaneously

  • Ability to analyze data from various sources and determine next actions

  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices

  • Ability to understand and champion the organization’s goals and objectives

  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required

  • Basic knowledge of various corporate security rules, legal and regulatory obligations such as PCI, SOX or similar standards
