The Lead Sales Operations Consultant will be responsible for managing the analytics, investigation, and sales recognition analysis and reporting for a specific sales region. The role will interface with sales teams, sales managers and executive management to report and analyze specifics around the sales recognition process and how it relates to incentive compensation.
Sales reporting, analysis, investigation and training for sales teams
Partner with sales directors, managers and reps to understand/communicate sales recognition processes, assist with reconciliation of booked sales versus recognized sales versus compensated sales
Develop Salesforce reporting/dashboards, understand revenue/sales data, sales funnel, and opportunities
Provide assistance with ad hoc reporting and other team initiatives
Serve as a liaison for the new hire during the on boarding process
Make recommendations to enhance productivity, sales revenue and collaboration between HR, operations, sales, marketing, product and finance.
Guide others in problem solving and make recommendations to Leadership
Ensure sales operations policies/practices are reviewed/revised as technology and business conditions change
Develop and deliver training to sales teams
Create very complex reports and account analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field plus 4+ years of experience; or 7+ years of experience managing sales reporting, sales analytics, and sales training
Proficient Excel skills for complicated sales reporting
Experience facilitating meetings and keeping team focused on objectives, next steps, and action plans
Ability to interact with all levels within a sales organization including vice presidents, directors, managers, and individual contributors
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, be detailed-oriented and deliver results
Experience with CenturyLink Rules of Engagement, Sales Recognition and Sales Operations Playbook
Experience with Sales Force.com
Experience working in a telecom/networking sales environment
