CenturyLink's Global Network Technology and Security practice is looking for a Lead Voice Network Engineer to join their team.
Primary focus: Candidate will serve as Amazon Web Services (AWS) subject matter expert, supporting engineering teams in AWS design, lab administration and automation scripting in support of CentruyLink voice platforms
Secondary focus: Participate with peer engineers to build deeper application awareness and utilize that knowledge to support development/deployment of new reporting technologies. (e.g. MicroStrategy, Splunk etc..)
Candidate will provide design, development, certification, deployment, support functions, performance analysis and problem-solving efforts for various hosted contact center platforms and other engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities will also include defining test plan requirements, supporting the execution of platform certifications and related proof of concepts as well as lifecycle management.
Candidate will develop technical documentation
Role requires significant interaction and collaboration with other engineering groups, Security, Planning, Operations, IT organizations, vendor development and support groups, as needed.
this role you will use the following skills:
Amazon Web Services architecture, administration, API Scripting
Experience with PowerShell and Unix/Linux scripting; additional utilities a plus
Experience with Ansible
Intermediate level knowledge of information security principles and standards such as FedRAMP, PCI, HIPAA, ISACA or similar
Strong Windows and Linux server administrative skills (Windows 2008-2012; CentOS 6 & 7; Redhat 7)
Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills
Solid understanding of web application technologies (IIS, Apache)
Bachelor's degree Computer Science or a related field, or minimum 3 years technical experience in the IT industry
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar AWS certifications
Some level of sys admin experience with focus on scripting and tools such as Anisble/Puppet/Cheff, Python, PowerShell etc..
Excellent documentation/technical writing skills required
Strong troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of telecommunications, specifically with VoIP protocols such as SIP
Experience in large scale data mining and big data solution implementation
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Industry experience with DevOps
Masters or Equivalent
Bachelors or Equivalent
