Job Summary

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: building market strategy to manage incremental and embedded network expense, establish strategic partnerships, and maintain competitive unit cost. Building and growing organizational relationships to successfully deliver relevant insights using analytics and incorporate data into strategic planning.

Job Description

  1. Understands current on-net and off-net network architecture and technology to ensure capacity and efficiency of the groom plans and network expansion.

  2. Utilizes business process knowledge to perform research, evaluate, document, and present analysis of complex / multiple sources of network data, and makes recommendations based on relevant findings to drive the decision-making process and support business operations for internal customers.

  3. Works in close partnership with cross functional business partners (Network Planning, Service Delivery, Sales, Marketing, Finance etc.) to identify/evaluate requirements, gather data and support development of analytic solutions that help stakeholders better understand business trends.

  4. Communicates with various teams to understand specific customer requirements and translates them into direction for various operational teams.

  5. May assist with the evaluation of new products to enable new service introduction, cost savings, and /or performance utilization.

  6. Prepares status/progress reports and updates management on projects. May participate in development of reports under minimal supervision.

  7. Synthesize results of analysis and effectively communicate data insights to leadership teams to improve performance and accelerate decision making.

  8. Recognizes network market trends, opportunities and articulates the overarching business impact and informs strategic roadmap.

  9. Creates competitive and breakthrough strategies by asking why and why not to identify data trends in business functions that will be critical for growth.

  10. Able to work in a highly matrix, rapidly changing contexts and under conditions of ambiguity.

  11. Supports and plans introduction of innovative technologies to support on-net & off-net access like GPON, UNE, EoC, wireless etc.


Basic Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ yrs

  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

  • Field Of Study: Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Business

  • A combination of education and experience is acceptable.

  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills. Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in an engineering role that included a substantial business/financial focus.

  • Desired Experience: 5+ yrs.

  • Master’s Degree.

  • Extensive understanding of access architecture, market analysis and telecom industry.

  • Working Knowledge of ETL, Reporting, Data analytics tools and BI solutions (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Oracle, Tableau, Power BI, R or equivalent).

  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, problem-solving and quantitative skills with expertise in the tools of secondary data analysis, predictive analysis and forecasting.

  • Detail oriented with an intense focus on quality.

  • Proven track record as adept and effective project and program manager.

  • Ability to work with and balance the needs of diverse constituencies.

  • Demonstrated initiative, independent thinker and worker.

  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization and communications skills.

  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio and SQL.

  • Positive and professional attitude, appearance and demeanor.

  • Solid entrepreneurial spirit.
