The SR DIR VRO will coach, facilitate and drive quantification and realization rigor into the development lifecycle of programs/projects that support CenturyLink business priorities. The SR DIR VRO will work on tracking value realized across a broad scope of programs and transformation activities across BU’s and Imperatives. This role will require close collaboration with the Business and Finance Senior Leadership teams across CenturyLink as well work with corporate function partners as appropriate. This role will work on end-to-end ownership of business value, from providing input on the strategic vision set by Senior Leadership to tracking the ROI from a value perspective on the work that has been delivered and pushed to production.
Oversee End-to-End automation and orchestration of value realization across enterprise CenturyLink
Lead efforts to define a value-based reporting framework, focusing on providing reporting and dashboards to C-Suite leadership teams around goal setting and accomplishments
Participate in setting the strategic direction for the business and subsequent demand management activities with senior leadership and business stakeholders
Participate in and support shaping business priorities across multiple BU’s at an executive level
Ability to effectively prioritize large streams of work based on Business, Financial, and IT implications and priorities
Develop and manage the framework to measure performance versus agreed KPIs/SLA’s; manage VRO team performance and measure ROI on work/features completed
Navigate conflicting priorities and inputs across various executive business priorities to achieve value-driven outcomes
Oversee unified value realization roadmap across Enterprise CenturyLink
Adopt strategic mindset to focus on growth – “ where is our next big opportunity to differentiate and create value ?”
Technical / Functional:
Telecommunications B2B/B2C experience required
Experienced data /analytics background required
Portfolio Management experience required
Demonstrable experience of managing competing business priorities required
Econometrics / Finance / Strategy background or training required
Experience working within an agile environment preferred
Zero-Based Budgeting experience preferred
Experience creating a value realization framework required
Previous work within Corporate Finance preferred
Intuitive feel for mathematical algorithms and statistical analysis
Executive presence and oversight of lean teams
7+ years of related experience including leadership experience, managing and/or directing a complex, dynamic IT workforce
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
