This role is pivotal to the success of the CenturyLink. It is necessary to bring more science into the decision-making process, build frameworks and analytical outcomes that will enable the company to maximize customer loyalty, reduce churn and improve EBITDA. This position will lead advanced decision analyses and optimization projects for the Customer Insights organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex business problems and provide recommended solutions.
Enhance how CenturyLink measures customer experiences, understand what drives loyalty and guide the business on what CX improvements are needed.
Develop and lead analytical projects designed to understand the impact customer experiences have on operational, employee, and financial outcome measures.
Collect, clean, analyze and manage data to uncover in-depth customer insights.
Employ techniques and theories drawn from mathematics, statistics, from the subdomains of machine learning, classification, cluster analysis, and data mining.
Lead the development and execution of data-driven insights for the Customer Insights organization; be self-driven to do research and develop cutting edge and effective solutions for the business.
Lead cross-functional teams to understand complex business problems, build statistical models, and create predictive tools.
Examine stratification rules across a robust set of transactional, journey and relationship surveys, ensuring the right representation, sample volumes and rules to avoid survey toxicity and be able to document these requirements for implementation by data developers.
6 - 8 years related experience.
Degree(s) in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Statistics or related discipline.
Strong experience with tools for managing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets and the ability to uncover insights.
Programming experience with two or more of R, Python, Lisp, Clojure, Scala, Java, Perl, Mathematica and C++.
Expertise in analyzing and visualizing large, complex, and unique data sets.
Good working knowledge of PL/T-SQL is preferred
Strong background with planning and management of data science projects as well as leading engagement of stakeholders and communication with non-technical SMEs and partners.
Culture of curiosity and perseverance in the face of messy data and complex business, information systems landscape.
Strong verbal, written and visualization communication skills relaying data science findings, problems, etc to business users.
Ability to prove / sell analysis results through compelling presentations (PowerPoint) and other reporting tools.
Experience with R, Python, Tableau, Lisp, Clojure, Scala, Java, Perl, Mathematica, C++.
Expertise w/ econometric and machine learning methods for predictive analytics.
Working knowledge of version control software – Git and Docker.
Understanding of CenturyLink DBs, knowledge of Missing Data / Sparse Data machine learning techniques.
Experience with the wireline telecommunications and technology industries and products.
