Job Summary

The SR DIR TMO will own the CenturyLink IT Digital Transformation agenda and be an evangelist for CenturyLink IT’s future. They will oversee enterprise wide Agile enablement, transformation communications, change enablement, and partner with the Business and the Strategic Planning &Transformation organization on shaping technology strategy, innovation agenda and ensure outcomes are value oriented. They are involved in setting strategic direction and communicating with transformation partners & champions across CenturyLink. They establish strategic direction and repeatable frameworks for execution, program management, and delivery excellence that can be leveraged across the enterprise to drive predictable transformation. They program manage the CenturyLink IT transformation.

Job Description

  • Lead transformation effort by owning the master transformation roadmap and progress towards the CenturyLink IT NorthStar

  • Bring program management rigor to running the transformation agenda

  • Define and shape Transformation goals and objectives for current and subsequent CenturyLink Transformations

  • Work with the VRO to identify projects that produce substantive, grounded results and recommendations for senior leaders

  • Innovate within value streams to drive improvements by using the latest technologies, analytics, and optimization processes

  • Leverage Data and Analytics to identify solutions to business problems

  • Identify innovation opportunities that will drive improvements in current ways of working and deliver differentiating capabilities for existing corporate functions (e.g. security, finance, HR)

  • Ensure that programs and value streams have dedicated capacity to support innovation initiatives

  • Ensure the availability of shared services to ensure transformations have the appropriate guard rails for success

  • Define and shape Transformation goals and objectives for current and subsequent CenturyLink Transformations

  • Align with Architecture and provide input to drive future state organizational and/or technology design changes


Technical / Functional:

  • Large Scale Program Management experience required ($200M+)

  • Experience working within a multi-speed agile environment required

  • Experience planning/structuring complex programs required

  • Digital Marketing experience highly preferred

  • Prior consulting background highly preferred

  • Technology strategy background preferred

  • Experience in areas of Change Management, Communications, PR, Org Design preferred

  • Experience providing readouts to C-suite/board

  • 7+ years of related experience including leadership experience, managing and/or directing a complex, dynamic IT workforce

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
