This senior level role is responsible for leading the planning, development, execution, and reporting of tests for complex systems and equipment. The individual will collaborate with various teams across IT to identify the impacts of test requirements and improve the overall quality of the final deliverables. As a subject matter expert (SME), this person will possess strong communication skills and will be expected to partner with business and technical groups in order to anticipate the effects of testing and bring timely resolution to critical issues. As a mentor to the team, this person will provide expert advice and direction, will coordinate and drive continual process improvement, and provide input to management for annual performance reviews. This person will also provide industry knowledge regarding test strategy development, test R&D activities, and technical support.
The candidate will be leading a small Agile SQA Automation development team
The candidate will create and review comprehensive black and white box test plans
The candidate will document, design, and implement automated tests and automated test verification using Robot
The candidate will be working within an Agile development team that develops a software applicance to orchestrate network elements.
The candidate must have excellent problem solving, and communication skills, and must be self-motivated.
Software under test includes a Network Service Orchestration system that configures and monitors multiple commercial, open source, and internally developed network elements
Minimum 2 years experience in a lead SQA role
Minimum 5 years experience with automated QA test implementation and results verification
Minimum 5 years experience with automated test development in a Linux environment required
Minimum 5 years experience with automated test development in a web (REST, and HTML) environment
Minimum 5 years experience with linux tools and automated test tools (ansible, expect, bash, selenium, ...)
Minimum 2 years experience with Robot and Python test automation
Experience developing test plans and acceptance criteria
Development experience with knowledge and experience of management methods including Yang, Netconf, ReST
Development experience with automation tools and automated test tools including but not limited to selenium, expect, bash, python
Strong problem solving and communication skills required
Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience with typically 10+ years related experience, or 8+ years related experience with Masters degree.
