Job Summary

Identifies and develops new sales opportunities within the government segment, provides product solutions, ensures customer satisfaction, and maintains positive ongoing relationships to maximize sales for the company. Responsible for the implementation of strategic and tactical sales account plans.

Job Description

  • Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities by contacting prospective customers by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.

  • Develops and implements actions to create additional opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company. Assists in creating account plans and strategies to win new business from both new as well as existing customers.

  • Team with technical, engineering, customer service, and related support staffs to ensure end-to-end customer sales and satisfaction and thereby drive new revenue growth.

  • Responsible for selling the organization's products or services to and maintaining relationships with existing named Federal accounts.

  • Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.

  • Responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals for customers located within a defined geographic territory or account list.

Qualifications

  • Field of Study: Business, Marketing, or Sales

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in selling to the close

  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with direction and ability to provide assistance to sales force

  • Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Requires at least 50% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office
