The Analyst II is responsible for the processes and performance of CenturyLink’s Third-Party Freight Transportation Provider that arranges shipments under various modes of transportation with an annual spend of approximately $12M. This individual will interact with the transportation provider daily to root cause and resolve delivery issues, ensure customer expectations are met, and identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible for maintaining a database of site requirements for freight deliveries. This includes performing audits, root causing delivery issues, and updating profiles accordingly.
Works with internal stakeholders to provide shipment tracking, shipment estimates, proof of delivery confirmations, and issue resolution in a timely manner.
Manages the LS&D (Lost, Stolen, Damage) process. This includes understanding carrier liability contractual terms, contacting Suppliers for proper documentation, filing and tracking freight claims, and the processing refund checks.
Becomes a subject matter expert with carrier contracts, performing monthly and quarterly audits.
Assists with carrier invoice escalations from CenturyLink’s Freight Bill Audit and Payment Provider. Collaboratively works with team members to identify improvement opportunities for reducing invoice coding exceptions.
Identifies non-compliant Supplier situations and develops corrective action plans to ensure CenturyLink’s shipping and invoicing procedures are properly followed.
Reviews, validates, and tracks all expedite shipment requests submitted to CenturyLink’s Freight Transportation Provider for cost avoidance.
Prepares and processes import and export documentation in compliance with customs regulations and procedures.
Evaluates and updates SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) with the freight transportation provider to ensure all processes are documented accurately.
Performs cost analysis and metrics reporting. Manages the performance of CenturyLink’s Third-Party Freight Bill Audit and Payment Provider and leads Quarterly Business Reviews.
Assists in the RFP process for a Freight Transportation Provider, including updating the Statement of Work, collaborating with Sourcing, and conducting potential Supplier assessments.
Quickly and efficiently prioritizes and resolves shipping issues that may involve packaging, damage, loss, late or miss-delivered shipments, and billing errors.
Responsible for developing and maintaining productivity and performance reports, trend analysis, and delivering to expected SLA’s.
