Responsible for developing tools to collect, clean, analyze and manage the data used by strategic areas of the business. Employ techniques and theories drawn from mathematics, statistics, in particular from the subdomains of machine learning, classification, cluster analysis, and data mining. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex business problems, build statistical models, and create predictive tools.
Specific Skills Required (Must have Skills):
SQL / MySQL / Oracle or general database querying
Python, script writing
Familiarity with data wrangling, data visualization and presentation, and work flow automation techniques.
Familiarity with at least two of the following packages: Pandas, Seaborn, Dash, Numpy, Scipy, statsmodel.
Specific Skills Desired:
- Knowledge of TensorFlow, Keras, or Caffe desired but not essential.
Develop models for forecasting and projecting work loads, translations of work loads into staffing plans, operationalize staffing models
Help develop models and frameworks into self-help tools and web-based products
Develop and automate data feeds to enable robust model-building practices
Analyze data discrepancies and flag outliers, provide analytical insights of operational results
Collaborate and work with user community and drive operational results.
Must be self-directed and goal-oriented with solid work ethic and accountability.
Strong background in science or engineering, masters/PhD-level specialization in modeling or optimization or data science is a must. Must be at an expert level with statistical modeling.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
Strong experience with tools for managing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets.
Programming experience with two or more of R, Python, Lisp, Clojure, Scala, Java, Perl, Mathematica and C++.
Clearly communicate methods and conclusions with simple language and innovative visualizations to management and executives.
Work effectively on a team as well as a self-driven individual to do research and develop cutting edge and effective solutions for the business.
