CenturyLink Senior Lead Finance Analyst - Sales Compensation & Reporting - Littleton, CO in LITTLETON, Colorado

This role will work closely with WIN, IGAM, GEAR and the Product Specialist Organizations to develop and deliver performance and expense forecasting reporting and analysis of Sales Compensation Plans and Incentive programs, communication and collaboration with key stakeholders, and guiding the business in financial-impacting decisions. This reporting will go to BU and Finance Executive Leaders monthly. This position will also perform special projects and provide senior management reporting as needed.
Sr Lead financial analyst on the Sales Compensation Design & Reporting Team. Responsible for design input and reporting on overall Sales compensation performance. Provided monthly reporting package to BU and Finance leadership. Work with BU FP&A Leadership on budget forecasting and compensation impact analysis. (Sale Compensation budget is $200M+)
Model (Design/test/analyze) plan design scenarios using historical performance with @RISK’s Monte Carlo simulation modeling for expense/cost probabilities and Tableau to support core plan design.
Provide direction and input to BU FP&A and BU Leadership for more accurate compensation expense forecasting and accruals.
Develop and deliver monthly performance reports to FP&A and BU Leadership.
Support SPIFF/On Top Incentives by providing costing and effectiveness evaluation.
Assist FP&A with accrual budgeting on sales compensation expenses.
Conducts rigorous financial analysis and uses findings to help guide the business in making decisions.
Designs and develops complex financial models (i.e. Compensation estimator for plan participants).
Builds professional relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Supports departmental reporting requirements on an as needed basis.
Thorough understanding of accounting concepts, financial statement components, and financial analysis metrics. Track record of rigorous financial analysis to guide business decisions.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable information.
Strong communication skills, including ability to articulate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.
Must be driven to identify issues, drive understanding of the drivers, and provide options for overcoming.
Highly proficient in Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with Tableau, Monte Carlo simulation modeling (@Risk software), Hyperion Essbase(Financial Data) a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 8+ year’s experience or Master’s Degree and 6+ years of experience
