Implements the long-term planning and delivery of the Sales and Sales Engineering development programmes. Has a good understanding and experience of Sales process, methodology and environment. This role will drive rigour around the development and application of sales skills, tools and methodology to enhance sales performance and enable managers to more effectively coach their teams
Objectively identifies, assesses and analyses business requirements and knowledge and skills gaps within Sales and Marketing
Partners closely with Sales and Marketing to understand product, solution, business processes and skills development needs.
Stays aligned with the North American sales training team to collaborate on projects, represent EMEA perspective and leverage resources.
Keeps abreast of industry and best practices to ensure sales development programmes continually evolve and support the business strategy.
Establishes and maintains relationships with third party vendors and professional societies (i.e. the Institution of engineering and Technology – IET) to ensure the most effective strategy is applied for professional certification and career development plans.
Executes on learning solutions that impact large scale change in skill and/or behaviour
Delivering and/or facilitating classroom and virtual training using a variety of adult teaching methodologies, training tools, online training technologies, and classroom skills.
Proficient in designing and facilitating development interventions to upskill Sales employees on sales tools, sales methodology, and embedding competency frameworks.
Identifies ways to drive improved training results and operational effectiveness.
Establishes a culture of continuous improvement, where activities and methods of operation are continually reviewed to establish how they can be improved and productivity increased.
Measures and manages key performance metrics to assess the impact of sales effectiveness programmes on sales cycles and pipeline. Provides feedback to the client. Develops and reports metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the solution.
Demonstrates solid business acumen
Held previous client facing roles, internally or externally
Experience implementing a wide-range of delivery mechanisms, including instructor led workshops, computer based modules, virtual training, podcasts and other mechanisms
Programme management experience
Experience of and Accreditation in Sales Methodology is desirable
Telecom experience is desirable
Experience of working within Sales is desirable
Substantial experience in sales coaching, sales training, and programme management
In-depth understanding of a sales environment
