Job Summary

Responsible for managing and resolving move complex customer payment application and research related issues across all CenturyLink business units, as well as acting as key contact point for vendors, external customers, and internal or external business partners for general and escalated items related to these customers.

Job Description

Communication via telephone, email, fax or other resources from internal or external Small Business or Consumer customers and business partners.

Perform reconciliation on Small Business or Consumer customer accounts to determine outstanding balances.

Handle Small Business or Consumer escalated calls or other communications regarding payment posting issues.

May also be required to work Enterprise customer payment applications or payment investigations as needed by other teams.

Maintain current knowledge of CenturyLink’s policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.


High School Diploma and/or Associates Degree in Business Finance, Banking.

Minimum of 5 years financial, collections or customer service work experience.

Minimum of 2 years banking, finance or accounting related experience.

Experience in CRIS and Ensemble Billing Systems.

Strong customer service skills.

Ability to resolve escalated payment application or research issues for customers.

Ability to communicate with internal and external customers via telephone, email, fax or other communication resources.

Proficient PC application skills.

Ability to meet SLA requirements.

Adaptability to change.


Ability to work flexible hours and possible overtime which may include Saturdays and/or evenings.


Associate degree or college business courses, particularly in the Accounting or other Finance related disciplines.
