Gain real-world experience in our 10-week 2018 Summer Internship Program in Corporate Communications. Interns will gain practical work experience designed to expand their classroom education and career path as they prepare for a professional position. Intern positions will be located at our Headquarters in Monroe, Louisiana.
The Communications Analyst Intern will provide support to the Corporate Communications Manager in terms of creating and upholding fresh content and functionality on our intranet and other main enterprise channels (mass email, internal social and other potential intranets).
This includes creating and posting articles and other content on our intranet home page and various areas of the intranet that Corporate Communications owns and partners with organizations to maintain. We are looking for individuals who have a flare with words and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
It also includes managing feedback channels, providing internal support to other content providers across the company in various organizations and giving ongoing support necessary for Corporate Communications to deliver and potentially receive communications.
Support all communications tools owned by Corporate Communications, including intranet, mass email, event registration tool, etc.
Review, edit, write and post content for various areas of the CenturyLink intranet.
Offer training, support and guidance for organizational community managers on appropriate and effective use of CenturyLink’s various communication channels.
Assist employees in finding information and necessary work tools on the intranet.
Assist other members of the Corporate Communications team with projects, as needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and competing deadlines.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
Must submit a resume, transcript, and a letter of recommendation (at time of interview with hiring manager)
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher (Preferred GPA 3.2)
Must be currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University
Must work 30-40hours per week during the 10 week session
Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily for the duration of the internship
Experience managing internet/intranet and social media content.
Experience with photo editing software, Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
