The purpose of this job is to provide timely and accurate accounting for assigned revenue. The objective is to ensure that all revenues are recorded monthly and to accurately maintain all accounts on the respective balance sheets through reconciliation to the general ledger. Month over month, quarter over quarter and YTD over YTD variance analysis will be important part of monthly duties.
Applies knowledge and experience to resolve a range of routine and non-routine accounting issues.
Analyzes data, identifies several different solutions along with pros and cons with respect to impact on the business.
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
Performs work that includes analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures/instructions involving a number of different steps, methods and alternatives.
Prepare monthly/daily journal entries with supporting schedules and worksheets for assigned cash accounts.
Reconcile all cash accounts assigned through Blackline.
Run SAP, and other reports as needed to fill information requests.
Research, analyze and explain variances on cash accounts.
Prepares entries, variances, and additional analysis for cash accounting.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of all of CenturyLink’s systems that support the cash accounting and ledger-closing process.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
Bachelors or Equivalent in Accounting
