The regional HR Manager is based in France, Nanterre, which is one of the core countries on the European Continent and will be overlooking all that is relevant for the HR organisation.
The main responsibilities for the Regional HR Manager but not limited to the following are:
The HR Manager is responsible for collaborating with HR Business Partner(s) (HRBP) to support key business initiatives and strategies which are not limited to local country, including recruitment, training, carrier development, termination.
To offer excellent generalist HR services to management (whether local or abroad) and all local based employees. This includes advising on all HR queries regarding policy and procedures in compliance with local laws; processing all administration relevant to the departmental and activities with support of the HR Shared Services, works council and to ensure that accurate records (paper-based and electronic) are maintained and that procedures are followed all in line with local legislation.
To work closely together with the HR Shared Services team to ensure consistency and high-level customer experience.
To be up to date with local legislations and procedures for implementation and advise the HRBP’s accordingly on suggested or required change.
Manage social relations including meetings with staff representatives (“DUP, CE, CHSCT, DS”) Work collaboratively with the staff representatives and country director
Understand the direction, priority and method of operation for the business and aligns work activities in support of those. Partner with one or more HRBP’s to support client group activity in the form of projects, process execution and general day-to-day needs for the countries responsible for (currently France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and VAE)
Provide coaching and counselling to managers in the different countries on performance issues in support of company and client group practices, policies, legislation and culture. Administer all performance improvement plans (PIPs) for client group organizations including up-front identification of needs.
Work closely with the local staff representatives, including management and follow up of the meetings, and establish a positive relationship in cooperation with the country director
Provide day-to-day advice and support to leaders and employees regarding the interpretation and administration of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations and approved company-wide employee relations policies and practices.
Investigate employee issues and complaints and offers solutions to ensure timely and appropriate actions are taken. Conduct or participate in disciplinaries and grievances with the support of the functional HRBP
Prepare reports and analyses trend in client groups or for location
Provide strong guidance and contact with third-party on absenteeism and follow up on and taking in consideration local legislation
Provide input to HR best practices, policies and programs. Facilitate the delivery and execution of HR initiatives and practices and work closely with the HR Shared Services for implementation and education
Previous experience in a similar position, in an International environment
Experience in managing and liaising with Staff Representatives
Identifying/resolving performance issues (proactively and reactively) and performance improvement plan administration.
Comfortable resolving conflict.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to produce results across multi-functional organizations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop strong internal and external working relationships.
Exercises good judgment.
Ability to research and analyse data.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
Excellent skills in English and French language
Proven experience with works council meetings and negotiations
SAP experience is preferred
