The Solutions Consultant Enhances existing customer relationships by building new relationships as part of the account team to senior executives and having the ability to understand the dynamic and interdependency between a client’s strategy and technology. This role will then rationalize that to cross sell and upsell solutions based on CenturyLink’s capability and consultatively makes these recommendations. The solutions consultant owns the opportunity creation, solution development/ overall architecture understanding and helping the sales team with pursuit strategy, thought leadership and owns overall solution value proposition.
To be the business, technology, sales lead on having the strategic dialogue with our client IT leaders and being able to rationalize CTL capability (not product specific) to a client strategy and create / get buy in on a shared vision/ roadmap.
Once opportunity has been identified, lead the pursuit team engagement to include driving and owning
a. Pursuit sales strategy to win
b. Program leading the Solution “architecture” by matrix managing the various technical resources and overlay resources engaged for the support. Manage the resources, account SE and SEM own “technical design assurance” – ensuring it will work.
c. Working with Product management to ensure we can support client requirements for any standard and nonstandard or custom requirements and rationalizing roadmap to complex engagements.
d. Deal Strategy – Financial model and negotiation
e. Developing and communicating to the client the total value proposition.
5-10 years' experience being a collaborative, thought leader member of the account team supporting a GAM VP sales region and adding solutioning capability and expertise to drive complex engagement success.
5-10 years' experience with consultative solution selling sales and sales support (passion to help the team succeed), business, technology (broad and specialized needs, vendor and client) and mature solutioning understanding that is practical experience / aligned to CenturyLink's product strategy and direction.
Demonstrable success with integrating multiple services and solving for custom and nonstandard requirements.
